Just a stone’s throw from the Whistler Village, yet in a remote setting on its own you will find the Edgewater Outdoor Centre 45 acres of pristine forest land, adjoining the River of Golden Dreams and the beautiful emerald-colored Green Lake, surrounded by B.C.’s snow-capped Coastal Mountains.
The Edgewater Outdoor Centre offers one of the most breath-taking locations in the Whistler Valley. And we provide the best seats in the house - a kayak, a mountain bike, a canoe, a horse, a fishing boat, a river raft, a sailboat or even a lawn chair on the beach!
On site amenities include a grass picnic/tenting area with tables, glass-enclosed lake-front gazebo, log cabin wedding chapel, two sand volleyball courts, horse stables, birds of prey rehab centre, beach and dock facilities, covered bonfire pit, boat rentals, fishing tackle shop, activity centre office and snack-bar.
Outdoor activities include canoeing, kayaking, boat cruises, sailing, fishing, pedal boats, horseback riding, carriage rides, mountain biking, hiking, river rafting and birds of prey tours. Our tours cater to all ability levels and vary in length from one hour to full day excursions.
We are happy to arrange customized group activities, weddings, and Corporate Olympics where teams can compete in events like mountain bike scavenger hunts, volleyball tournaments, fishing derbies, voyageur canoe races, kayak slalom races and tug-o-wars, followed by a lake-side picnic lunch or bbq dinner. Musical entertainment or DJ services available upon request. We can also provide First Nations Traditional Coastal Dancers with drummers and dancers in full regalia combined with a bbq salmon feast. New for this year we are offering the Birds of Prey - Wild Eagle Experience Tours with raptor specialist Daniel Johnson.
The Edgewater Outdoor Centre is the perfect venue for half day and full day group conference activities. We can arrange catering for up to 1000 ppl to suit any menu request and can provide shuttle service to and from the Whistler Village for your convenience. Incentive groups, conferences, associations, wedding events, student groups, church groups and sports teams welcome! Non exclusive site fee charge is $25.00 pp based on 100 person minimum. For group bookings we require a 50% deposit based on the estimated billing to confirm the reservation, the balance is due on the activity day. Cancellations for group bookings require ninety days written notice and are subject to a 10% administration fee, no cancellations less then 90 days from event date.
